1. Was it just a coincidence that Gen. Humbert insulted Lafitte, the number of his enemies grew?

2. Why would one of Lafitte's lieutenants actions be held against Lafitte?

3. Why would Gambi's men go against someone they essentially worked for?

Chapter Seven

1. Why did the Gov. hold the Lafitte's responsible for the actions of the other pirates?

2. Why would the Lafitte's put their men through new motions for Jean's sake?
