Ch. 11 and 12 Questions

Here are my discussion questions for Ch. 11 and 12 of The Light in the Forest.

Chapter XI
~ True Son talks about haw his Indian father treats his messengers better than the whites do. Why is that??
~ True Son talks about rebelling, why has he become so submissive??
~ "He was a manchild and should never dis honor himself with the labor of squaws" Were they that racist and sexist??
~ It seems like True Son would really choose death over whiteness?

Chapter XII
~What does Half Arrow mean on pg. 129 when he says "They can hear only the war whoop and the money rattle?"
~ Why is it the True Son is attatched to Gordie, but not to the rest of his white family?
~ Half Arrow seems obsessed with war with the whites, Why? Don't they want peace??
