We are reading The Light In The Forest in Literature, (Abbreviated TLitF)
These are my personal discussion questions for Chapters One and Two. They were last night's homework.
~ Why would True Son have to go with the whites if he wanted to stay with the Natives?
~ Why did the American want the white prisoners that had been "adopted' by the Natives
~ Why was True Son so resistant, why didn't he pretend to go, and then sneak back?
~ Why had the Natives not told True Son his parents were white, and partisan-ized him?
~ The poem makes more sense now, is it saying that the place where he stays with the whites a "prison- house."
~ Why was he called True Son if he was "adopted"?
~ Whose Son was True Son truly???
